The Research Paper of the Year award gives recognition to an individual or group of researchers who have undertaken and published an exceptional piece of research relating to general practice or primary care. A session at the conference has been dedicated to hearing about the work by the category winners.
Julia Hippisley-Cox, and her team of researchers based at Nottingham University, are congratulated for their work on the development of risk prediction factors for cardiovascular disease. They were winners in the Cardiovascular, Renal, Respiratory, Oral, ENT & Opthamology category.
