School researchers win 2018 Research Paper of the Year awards in their categories at the annual RCGP conference in Glasgow on 4 October.

The Research Paper of the Year award gives recognition to an individual or group of researchers who have undertaken and published an exceptional piece of research relating to general practice or primary care.  A session at the conference has been dedicated to hearing about the work by the category winners.

Julia Hippisley-Cox, and her team of researchers based at Nottingham University, are congratulated for their work on the development of risk prediction factors for cardiovascular disease. They were winners in the Cardiovascular, Renal, Respiratory, Oral, ENT & Opthamology category.

Congratulations are also extended to winners in the Neurology, Mental Health and Dementia category, Ruth Riley (PI), Johanna Spiers, Carolyn Chew-Graham and Anna Taylor considered the facilitators and strategies GPs use to survive stress.
