Nurturing health professionals to develop as researchers

The SPCR’s funding can help to build capacity in primary care research by encouraging more people from a wide range of backgrounds to develop their skills and knowledge.

The SPCR fellowship programme has helped dozens of researchers to establish themselves and contribute to our body of knowledge. One of our former fellows, Mel Holden, is a professor of musculoskeletal rehabilitation at Keele University and a qualified physiotherapist who became interested in evidence-based practice after first putting her skills into practice.
