Case Study:
Supporting the creation of a digital self-management programme for type 2 diabetes

Healthy Living is a digital intervention run by NHS England for people with type 2 diabetes to help better manage their condition. This evidence-backed pathway took many years to develop and relied on support from the School for Primary Care Research.

The Healthy Living programme provides online information about type 2 diabetes, advice on mental wellbeing and guidance on healthy behaviours. This service came from the HeLP-Diabetes study that was led by the late Professor Elizabeth Murray to develop and test this digital approach.
