Developing the careers of future leaders in Primary Care Research.

The SPCR provides several funding opportunities for those who want to start or continue their career in primary care research. These grants provide critical support to help establish the skills and experience needed for early career researchers to become the leaders of the future.

One such researcher is Ashley Hammond, a research fellow in infectious disease epidemiology at the University of Bristol. The funding she received from the SPCR to develop as a researcher has enabled her to co-lead a £3 million NIHR programme grant to tackle antibiotic resistance.
