Maria Michail and Willem Stander, University of Birmingham have a study funded through the Three NIHR Research Schools' Mental Health Programme. The study is called:

ATTUNE: The role and the contribution of the voluntAry secTor to the prevenTion of sUicide among youNg pEople.

ATTUNE will explore young people’s experiences seeking and accessing support from voluntary organisations for self-harm and suicidal thoughts or behaviour. Shaped by insights from young people with lived experience and in collaboration with voluntary and statutory services, they aim to improve current support and develop recommendations for better collaborative care in youth suicide prevention. 

They have a launch event on Thursday 27th February from 2 - 3.30pm (online)

  • Local authorities 
  • Health and social care professionals across primary and secondary care, public health and social care 
  • Young people aged 16-25 with lived experience and their families (England) who would like to know more about the project and get involved.
