Researchfish submission
The next NIHR Researchfish ® submission period will be 3rd February 2020 – 16:00 hrs 12th March 2020.
It is essential that all NIHR award holders record and confirm the outputs, outcomes and impacts from their projects so that we can use this to make the case for continued investment in research. NIHR expects award holders to report research outcomes through Researchfish, annually and for 5 years after the end of the award.
Please note that reporting in Researchfish does not replace the SPCR progress reports and final reports which ask different questions.
What do I need to do?
You can update your Researchfish portfolio with new research outputs and outcomes at any time. You must then submit this and any further information between 3rd February and 16:00 hours on 12th March 2020.
If you do not hold an active Researchfish account, you will shortly receive a personalised email from
Researchfish (admin@researchfish.com) containing a link to activate your account. Please follow the instructions in that email.
When the submission period opens, a personalised email from Researchfish will ask you to:
- Check that your awards from NIHR are associated with your Researchfish account.
- Link to ORCID if you have not already done so.
- Enter research outputs, outcomes and impact data for each section (or use the delegate facility to allow other team members to contribute).
- Complete any additional questions that may be required.
- Submit your data to NIHR SPCR by clicking the ‘Begin submission process’ button in the ‘My awards’ tab.
Please check your spam/junk folder if this email does not appear in your inbox on 3rd February.
The NIHR is an ORCID member and use of this identifier with Researchfish will enable publications data to move between the two profiles. For more information about ORCID visit www.orcid.org.
