Developing skills for patient and public involvement
A training day for post-graduate research students belonging to a School for Primary Care Research member department.
10-10.30am Arrival teas and coffees
10.30-11.30am Inspiring patient and public involvement in research:
Session led by Lynne Corner and Susan Hrisos, with input from VOICENorth members
11.30am-12.30pm Simultaneous workshops ‘practicalities of patient and public involvement’
12.30-1.30pm Lunch
1.30-2.30pm Student presentations – creative involvement of patients and the public in research projects
2.30-3pm Case studies
Students will work in groups (with experts and PPI group members) putting together PPI models for case studies of PhD style research projects.
3-3.30pm Tea and coffee break
3.30-4.30pm Resources and expert panel
