After navigating their way through the labyrinth of old buildings that make up the majestic Worcester College, delegates were rewarded with the sight of the beautiful new Sultan Nazrin Shah Conference Centre on the edge of the college's cricket fields. It was a shorter than usual but intense day of guest talks on research communications, funding applications for fellowships and grants. The three minutes to present with two to answer questions fed a few nerves, but gave trainees practice in this new format and went down well with both presenters and the audience alike.
The event also welcomed Professor Roger Jones, the BJGP's editor, who spoke to the group about the obstacles and rewards of writing for publication.
