Masterclass Summary: This masterclass aims to give you the tools you need to write a journal article that has a good chance of being accepted by your target journal. Jessica Watson will guide you through the process of planning, writing and editing your journal article for submission, and provide a range of template tools to take away to help overcome some of the common barriers to writing. 

About the Speaker: Jessica Watson is a lecturer at the University of Bristol and an NHS GP. She has published over 60 journal articles including quantitative and qualitative research. She has been running writing days for early career researchers at the University of Bristol for over eight years, and is course organiser of the University of Bristol Medical School’s writing a journal article short course. 

Target audience: Early Career Researchers who are in the planning stages of writing a journal article. This course is suitable for people who have never written a journal article, or for those who have some experience of writing a journal article but would like to have a more structured approach. The masterclass will include interactive activities and discussions; you will benefit most if you have a paper in mind which you are planning to write.
